Foothills Equestrian Nature Center is hosting the second annual Round-Up Rodeo on Friday, June 29, and Saturday, June 30.

“Last year, we were overwhelmed by the community support of the rodeo and we’re so excited to make this an annual event,” said Tracie Hanson, executive director of FENCE.

As part of the International Professional Rodeo Association, the rodeo will feature bull riding, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, steer wrestling, cowgirls break away roping, team roping, cowgirls barrel racing and tie down roping.

Although families are invited to come to the rodeo both nights, Friday night is branded as “Family Night.” Food and snacks will be available for purchase both nights of the rodeo.

All proceeds from the event will go to support FENCE’s programs and events, such as the Therapeutic Riding of Tryon program, youth and adult educational programs, summer camps, free family events and  support the upkeep and maintenance of 384 acres of land and 5 miles of trails, which are open to the public 365 days a year at no cost.

The rodeo begins at 7:30 p.m., with gates opening at 6 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase at the gate.

The rodeo will be in the covered arena and on-site parking is available. Event is rain or shine.
