Interim Technical Director Sam Nelson took the reigns of TFAC’s extensive audio and lighting needs over the summer.

However, he leaves in August to pursue his master’s degree at the University of Alabama.

Sound Technician Alex Finlay is an expert in concert production, and worked with TFAC on each of the Sunset Series concerts in May. Finlay heads back to his hometown of Asheville to work ExpandFest before flying to London for a European tour. 

“We’ve appreciated having these smart young men on our team and look forward to seeing where their careers take them,” said Marianne Carruth, TFAC executive director.

TFAC’s technical director position will be filled permanently beginning with the Tryon Youth Summer Theater production in late July.
