Party like it’s 1948

The Tryon Little Theater celebrated its 70th birthday in style — 1940s style, to be precise — at the Sunnydale cabin on Sunday. Nearly 100 people — many dressed in 1940s attire, as the community theater company staged its first production in 1948 — attended the celebration. In addition to enjoying food from several area restaurants and live entertainment, attendees had a chance to hear the announcement of the theater company’s 2018-19 season. In addition to savory dishes, guests could enjoy some cupcakes and other sweets, including a birthday cake baked by the Rural Seed’s Adrienne Wilson.
