Published 8:00 am Friday, June 1, 2018

More than 400 people attended the Adult Prom that was recently held at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. Even with rainstorm that swept across the area, the attendees managed to enjoy dinner, followed by an evening of music and dance. The Prom King and Queen 2016  returned to crown the new King and Queen of 2018, who were Luta Sabo and Michael McCarthy, of Tryon. The Adult Prom was sponsored by the Unity in the Community organization. The event was made possible by the Free Community Events Grant Fund from the Polk County Community Foundation. The venue, food and all other expenses were paid for by the foundation. See more photos on page 17. (Submitted by David Staley)
