Chair Johnson cancels next Wednesday’s office hours
Polk County Commissioner Chair Jake Johnson has cancelled next Wednesday’s office hours, as local commissioners will be in Raleigh.
Johnson normally holds office hours the last Wednesday of the month to allow residents to come in and discuss issues.
The commissioners will be in Raleigh next week to for County Assembly Day, where Johnson said Polk officials plan to promote the interests expressed to them by local citizens, particularly on the proposed widening of Highway 108 between Columbus and Tryon.
Johnson will reconvene his office hours on Wednesday, June 27. His office is open on the last Wednesdays of the month from 10 a.m. to noon on the second floor of the Womack building in Columbus.
