Landrum High School Future Farmers of America brought home two top five finishes at the Clemson University FFA Leadership Development Event, held on April 17. This is the first year that Landrum High School has offered an FFA program, and they have quickly established their rank among the FFA Chapters. Out of 34 regional competitors, Sarah Campbell placed second and Katie West placed fourth overall. Campbell and West will go on to compete in the state competition in June at Clemson University. Aspects of this competition include memorization of the FFA creed, and an individual presentation and interview. The leadership competition is designed to develop public speaking and interview skills for participants. Pictured are, from left, Lathan Stokes, Katie West, Caylee Ruppe and Sarah Campbell.
