Edward James Mistler

Edward James Mistler, 75, of Mill Spring, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at Hospice House of Landrum, South Carolina, on April 29, 2018.
He was born in Medford, New York, on Nov. 17, 1942, to Edward Ralph Mistler and Irene Marlene Fucci Mistler.
He graduated from Patchogue High School in 1960. He was a highly skilled carpenter who loved carpentering. He also enjoyed making things on his 3D printer, a hobby he learned over the past couple of years.
He loved his family. Although he and his wife divorced over 35 years ago, he held her in his heart, and always remained true to his love for her and never remarried.
He was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his son, Keith Mistler and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Mistler and one grandson, Tristan Mistler of Mill Spring.
He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Irene Mistler; two sisters, Marlene Rooney and Georgia Watson; and an infant daughter.
The family will be at their home in Mill Spring.
