Johnny and Gerry Taylor from the Veterans of Foreign Wars recently visited Polk Central Elementary to share the history of the United States flag with a small group of fourth-grade students. The fourth graders are the school’s Peer Leaders in charge of maintaining the flag. The group talked about flag trivia, and had a demonstration of proper flag folding etiquette.
