Polk County Historical Association to hold annual meeting May 1

The Polk County Historical Association Annual Membership meeting will be on Tuesday, May 1, at 2:30 PM at the Polk County Museum, located at 60 Walker St., Columbus.
The short business meeting will be held prior to the May program. The main business to be conducted at this meeting is to elect officers and required directors.
Tickets will be available to purchase for the “Brown Bag Bus Tour of Green River Cove and Holbert Cove,” planned for May 12, 2018. Available for viewing is the portrait of Col. William Polk, recently donated to PCHA by Joe Epley. Polk County was named to honor the Revolutionary War hero.
