During the weekend of March 24 and 25, Foothills Gymnastics Academy sent 11 to Tumblebees competition in Greensboro.

This was the fourth qualifier for the FGA Xcel Gold team. Despite having a smaller team, their hard work earned them fifth place.

Hurley Bell excelled with first on beam, first on floor, second on bars and first all around with a score of 37.10. Gabby Savaia earned a second on vault, fifth on bars and sixth all around. Eliza Then earned a fourth on vault and seventh all around.

FGA’s Xcel Silver team performed well at the Tumblebee’s competition, where they swept the podium on vault, bars, floor and all around. Grace Settles won first on bars with 9.45, first on beam with 9.20, second on vault with a 9.325, third on floor with 9.25 and first all around with a 37.20.

Brooklyn Jones won first on vault with 9.375, second on beam with 9.05, second on floor with a 9.3, third place on bars with a 9.375 and second place all around with 37.10. Caity Elledge won first place in floor with a 9.325, second on bars with 9.40, third on vault and third all around with 36.725.

FGA’s Silver team’s performance earned them a team trophy.

FGA’s Xcel Bronze team sent five to Tumblebees. Reeve Caroll and Elizabeth Fincher joined the FGA’s Xcel Bronze team for their first competition.

Reeve earned first on vault, first on bars, first on beam, second on floor and first all around with 36.65. Elizabeth won first on bars, first on floor, second on vault and first all around with 36.725.

Other FGA Xcel Bronze team competitors included Zina Ishwar, Anna-Carlisle Keim and Banks Nix.

Zina received first on floor with a 9.5, fourth on vault, fourth on bars and sixth all around with 36.75. Anna earned fourth on vault, fifth on floor and sixth all around with 36.75. Banks received fourth on beam, fourth on floor and seventh all around with 36.30.

All FGA teams will attend another state qualifier competition in Charlotte during the weekend of April 7.
