The Tryon Coffeehouse Co-op volunteer board has announced that Mary and Kevin Parker, from GreenLife Inn at the Mimosa, will join Tracey, Tim, Lynn, Matt, Callie and Candice behind the barista counter.   

Bringing their knowledge of hospitality, green-living and business management to the coffeehouse, the Parkers will play a significant role in expanding hours, food offerings, community outreach and partnerships.

The Parkers join as managing board members, and will help take the co-op to the next level — with a focus still being charity and community. Extended hours will be announced soon.

This April also marks the Coffeehouse’s 20th anniversary. Started by Bill Ingham and stewarded by Chris Baschon, Tracey Daniels and Tim Daniels for the past three years, the Coffeehouse Co-op remains at the heart of the community.

An official 20th anniversary celebration is in the works for the end of the month.
