My gratitude to Our Carolina Foothills

Thank you for bringing a smile to my face with every new “art horse” I see!

I love live horses in all their furry splendor, from the tiniest mini donkey to the regal draft breeds — they are all beautiful in my eyes. I still have my childhood collection of Breyer horses.

So, seeing the art horses pop up around the community has been a true delight. Bringing public art and horses together throughout our four communities has been a two-year endeavor for Our Carolina Foothills.

There has been a lot of conversation about such a project for years, but this group has made it happen, and brilliantly so. There will be 32 horses throughout the community, with a map to help you find them.

I am having out of town company in a few weeks. Touring around to find the horses will be a fun way to entertain our visitors, and show them our beautiful countryside and charming towns.

Hey, maybe someone can come up with an Art of the Horse app.

So, again, thank you to the folks involved with Our Carolina Foothills, the creative and talented artists and sponsors, of course, that have made Art of the Horse a wonderful partnership in the Carolina Foothills.
