Learn about decomposers at Kids Nature Club Tuesday

Published 8:00 am Friday, April 6, 2018

Foothills Equestrian Nature Center will offer their Kids Nature Club this month on Tuesday from 3-5 p.m.

The fun and educational activities offered are aimed at children between the ages of 5 and 12. Kids Nature Club is free and open to the public and will be held on a drop-in basis, so adults should plan to accompany their children while at FENCE.

Families are encouraged to bring their kids by for Kids Nature Club but also spend some time during their visit exploring the trails.

This month’s focus will be decomposers. Kids will have the opportunity to learn which organisms are decomposers, make a miniature wormery and check out the rest of FENCE’s animals.

Our last Kids Nature Club of the school year is May 8 — stay tuned for the topic.

FENCE is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon. For more information about this or upcoming events call 828-859-9021, email info@fence.org, or visit www.fence.org.
