Polk Central Elementary students celebrated Literacy Week by adopting a Western theme for the final days before spring break. In Caroline Edwards’ kindergarten class, students studied cowboys and cowgirls, and read Western-themed books. Polk County Schools Superintendent Aaron Greene even made a special visit to the classroom to read Bubba the Cowboy Prince to the class. Pictured are students from J.J. Waddell’s fourth-grade class at Polk Central celebrating the week. (Photo submitted by PolkStudents.com)
