More than two dozen newly-minted musicians showed off their skills at the final concert for the spring Pacolet Junior Appalachian Musician program at Tryon Fine Arts Center. PacJAM’s instructors led the students in singing folk songs and playing traditional tunes from the Foothills on banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar and ukulele. The performance capped off a 10-week semester of instruction. Students ages 6 and up can join the PacJAM program for summer camp, July 16-20.
