Polk County District Court Results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 65 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Angela Lee Frazier was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Frazier was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Shanda Elaine Gibson was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Gibson was fined $50 and court costs.

Jeremius Kenda Howard was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Howard was fined $20 and court costs.

Wendy Michelle Lane was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Lane was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine, $600 in lab fees and court costs.

In Polk County District Court on Monday, March 26, 2018, with Judge Athena Brooks presiding, 95 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Phillip Brian Hicks was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, misdemeanor larceny, driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation, fictitious information to officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree trespassing. Hicks was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit.

Chandler Jarel Petty was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Petty was fined $50 and court costs.
