Jacqueline Fitzgerald Henson, 85, of Columbus, North Carolina, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, in her home.

Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Elbert Fitzgerald Sr. and Rachel Britt Fitzgerald.

Jackie worked as a home demonstration agent with the Polk County Extension Office for 30 years before retirement. Jackie was a member of Tryon First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was predeceased by a stepson, Scott Henson.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence Henson of the home; two daughters, Susan Milner of Bridgeton, New Jersey, and Sandy Blackwell of Lyman, South Carolina. Also surviving is a grandson, Micah Milner.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018, in Polk Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Darryl Maxwell officiating.
