Saluda Police Department February report

During the month of February 2018, the Saluda Police Department answered 73 calls for service.

There were 44 state citations, three city citations, 33 warning tickets, two accidents, 12 welfare checks, three alarms, three open doors, 18 suspicious person/vehicle and one property damage.

Officers checked businesses and churches every night, patrolled 4,574 miles, made six arrests; one on warrants, four for driving while license revoked and one for driving while impaired; assisted the public works department with traffic control on Ozone Street and assisted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Columbus Police Department, the North Carolina Highway Patrol and Saluda Fire and Rescue.
