Second Wind Hall of Fame offering scholarships

Not only does the Second Wind Hall of Fame recognize outstanding volunteers — who, in retirement, have enthusiastically shared their talents and time with our community — but it also offers a yearly scholarship grant to adults who wish to further their education in their field of employment or who seek training for a new career.

The “Catch a Second Wind” scholarship can provide needed funds for an adult who:

• Is at least a high school graduate

• Has exemplary personal qualities, is a good citizen and is “deserving” and industrious

• Is already in the workplace (or has been), and has demonstrated good work ethic

• Plans to attend an accredited public or private college, university, community college or a recognized technical or vocational institution
