Three properties return to tax rolls

COLUMBUS — Polk County just returned a few properties to the tax rolls by selling three parcels of land by electronic auction.

Polk County Commissioners met last week and approved accepting two bids for three parcels. The parcels were sold on govdeals.com.

Commissioners accepted the bids for tax parcels P69-40 and P69-49 for a total of $11,812, and tax parcel P42-37 for a total of $3,772.

Another parcel was up for auction and a bid was made, but the person later decided they did not want the property. Commissioners rejected that bid.

The county will designate the funds from the parcels to the county’s economic development capital reserve after all fees and taxes are paid.
