Goitse brings top Irish vocalist to Tryon Friday

“If at the end of the year the BBC contact me (as they do) and ask me to name my gig of the year (as they do) Goitse…would be a country mile ahead of anything I’ve seen this past five years,“ said Sean Laffey, editor of Irish Music Magazine.

Goitse is winning Irish music fans the world over, and now they make their Tryon debut with the Main Stage performance on Friday at 8 p.m. at Tryon Fine Arts Center.

The five talented young members are all graduates of the Limerick University Irish World Academy, and boast dozens of awards and national commendations between them.

The band has honed a unique sound that combines a love of traditional Celtic tunes with a modern flair. Recent tours have crisscrossed Europe, Asia and North America, as Goitse delights audiences with the charm and beauty of the Emerald Isle.

Tickets for Goitse’s Main Stage performance at Tryon Fine Arts Center are available now at tryonarts.org or by calling 828-859-8322. Goitse is sponsored by New View Realty. The 2017-2018 Main Stage Series is sponsored by Parsec Financial.
