Last week, the Tryon Theatre showed the Oscar nominee shorts in three nights with a different category each night.

All of the shorts were very engaging and entertaining.

Viewers who attended all three nights got free tickets. Viewers had a ballot to pick the winners. If you pick the winning Oscar for each category, you get a theater T-shirt. Results will be released March 4.

We went. We were thoroughly entertained by this mini marathon and are anticipating a theater shirt in our future.

We hope they do this again next year. Rumor has it from reliable sources overheard in the lobby that next year’s grand prize may be a chance for a cruise on Lake Lure.
