Who knew that being a blood donor was good for your health?

Certainly, donating blood makes one feel good to help others who need the gift of life, but health benefits of donating blood include reduced risk of cancer and a reduced risk of damage to the liver and pancreas. Donating blood may also help in improving cardiovascular health and reducing obesity as well.

For those receiving blood donations, it can help in treating cancer, bleeding disorders, chronic anemia associated with cancer, sickle cell anemia and other hereditary blood disorders.
