Johnny Ray Walker

Johnny Ray Walker, 76, of 217 Homer Johnson Court, Inman, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018.
Born in Polk County, North Carolina, on May 31, 1941, he was a son of the late George Austin and Maybelle (McDowell) Walker, and was the husband of 51 years to the late Catherine (Hembree) Walker, who predeceased him in January 2018.
Mr. Walker served in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from UPS after 40 years of dedicated service, and was a member of the Teamsters.
He is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Trainor (David), of Lyman and Kelly Kisner (Andy), of Florida; two brothers, Charles Walker of Texas and Billy Walker of Louisiana; five sisters, Libby Phillips of Easley, South Carolina, Peggy Eddy of Columbia, South Carolina, Elaine Edwards of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Carolyn Toney of Mill Springs, North Carolina, and Judy Huntsinger of Mill Spring; four grandchildren, Donald Ray Brenner, Delaney Page Wyatt, Jordan Shayne Wyatt and Gabriel Brett Wyatt; and one great-grandson, Jacob Bennette Seymore.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Walker and Douglas Walker.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4-4:45 p.m. at Seawright Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the Seawright Funeral Chapel at 5 p.m., with the Rev. Ed Stallworth officiating.
Following the service, the family will receive friends at the home, 217 Homer Johnson Court, Inman, South Carolina, from 6-7 p.m.
