Group gathers at recently opened coffee shop
CAMPOBELLO — They usually gather for lunch at the Junction of Gowensville.
Now, they have added coffee at the Buck ‘n Brew just outside of Landrum.
Most of the members of the “Friends” group went to high school in Dacusville together, then met Arlene Miller at work 30 years ago. The group has been gathering to share each other’s birthdays and to share their “high school reunion” lunch in June ever since.
“We had these coffee mugs made so we could have a cup of coffee together,” said Rhonda Smith. “The mugs say, ‘Friends are held together by heartstrings,’ and have our names on them.”
