Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Feb. 14, with Judge Pete Knight presiding, 129 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.  

The following persons were convicted of a crime:  

Michael Oryan Blounts was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation. Blounts was sentenced to three days in jail.

Caleb Jordan Carberry was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 65 mph zone. Carberry was fined $100 and court costs.  

Robert Franklin Dixon was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Dixon was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $50 fine and court costs.  

Juan Carlos Gomez was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Gomez was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.  

Andrew Brayme Harnder was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Harnder was fined $20 and court costs.  

Price Davies Marshall was convicted of speeding 79 mph in a 70 mph zone. Marshall was fined $98 and court costs. 

Kevin Joseph Porter was convicted of possession of stolen motor vehicle. Porter was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation and court costs.  

Kaitlynn Eliza Taylor was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Taylor was fined $15.  

Grady Allen Waters was convicted of speeding 40 mph in a 25 mph zone and two counts of failure to stop at a stop sign/flashing red light. Waters was fined $30 and court costs.
