A total of nine music students from Landrum and Polk County high schools have applied to the Laurel Lake Music Society for scholarships to the Cannon Summer Music Camp in Boone, N.C. The Music Camp will be held in June and July of 2018 and offers a comprehensive course of musical instruction.  Each applicant is required to submit a CD, DVD or You Tube recording of their musical talent, and based on their rankings, the most accomplished students will be awarded scholarships.  These recordings will be submitted to The Cannon Music Camp administration for judgment.   Audition recordings are required to be submitted by January 15, 2018.

These scholarships are made possible by donations made to the Laurel Lake Music Society by the residents of Tryon Estates.
