Sunny View Elementary School had a special event Monday evening, Dec. 18, sponsored by the Parent-Teacher Organization. Impressive creativity was demonstrated in the large-sized gingerbread houses decorated by the students and their families.  Some spent more than an hour on their house, getting the details just right — snow-covered roofs, or an upstairs theater, wreaths, or friends and pets inside!  There were over 100 parents and students who came to the exciting event. Pizza, cookies and hot chocolate were served. Each family worked together on the houses, and every child was able to take home their creation to play with during the Christmas break.  It was a tremendous amount of fun!
