Bird Feeding Workshop to be offered at FENCE Dec. 1

Published 1:54 pm Tuesday, November 28, 2017

On Friday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE) will offer a workshop on bird feeding. International bird guide, Aaron Steed will lead this workshop on all things related to bird feeding. Learn about the different seed blends and feeders available and which local birds they attract, how to deter squirrels, raccoons, and bears (oh my), and the various hardware and accessories needed to install the feeding station of your preference. Bird feeding is one of the fastest growing hobbies in the US and is a great way to connect with nature right in your backyard.

This program is free and open to the community. This workshop is made possible by the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation. The Foothills Equestrian Nature Center is located at 3381 Hunting Country Road in Tryon. For more information, call FENCE at 828-859-9021 or email info@fence.org.
