Linda Henderson

Linda Hayes Henderson, 68, of Campobello, S.C., died, Tuesday, Nov. 21 in her home.
Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Rutherford B. and Mary Lee Parker Hayes. She was the widow of Bobby Earl Henderson. Linda grew up in the Tryon area, attending Tryon Pentecostal Holiness Church in her childhood. Linda graduated from Blue Ridge High School, and then attended Clemson University attaining her Bachelor’s degree. She loved watching Clemson athletics, especially football. Linda worked as a Respiratory Care Therapist at Spartanburg Regional Hospital until she retired. Linda also enjoyed volunteering at Spartanburg Regional and the Good News Club. She was a member of Hope Church, Boiling Springs, SC. Linda also enjoyed traveling. She loved her family dearly.
Surviving are a son, Joseph Henderson (Jessica) of Albany, NY, and a brother, Dr. Steve Hayes (Carole) of Johnson City, TN. Also surviving are a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 26 in McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon with Rev. Jan King officiating.
The family received friends from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus.
