Tryon Arts & Crafts School’s Holiday Gift Show opens Friday

Published 4:17 pm Thursday, November 9, 2017

The opening of TACS’ annual Holiday Gift Show, which will feature artwork and hand-made crafts from regional artists, will be on Nov. 10 from 6 – 8 p.m. at 373 Harmon Field Road in Tryon.

Bring the whole family, as the evening will be a festive one. Santa will be available to hear gift requests, there will be music by Phil and Gaye Johnson, seasonal cookies and hors d’oeuvres, and a bounty of arts and crafts to purchase for gifts.

The main tree will feature “Lil’ Angel” ornaments made by both TACS and local students, the sales of which will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Western North Carolina. Guests are also invited to bring an unwrapped toy for an elementary school child to put under the tree for Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry to distribute at their annual December Holiday Program Distribution Party.

The show will run through Dec. 23. Merchandise is cash and carry, so it will be constantly refreshed with new crafts to purchase. New Lil Angels Ornaments will also be coming in.

TACS’ holiday hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
