Thelma B. Henderson

Thelma Bishop Henderson, 89, of Landrum, S.C., passed away Sept. 28, 2017 at RoseCrest Nursing Home. Born in 1928 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Elijah and Martha McAbee Bishop and wife of the late Allen Henderson.

She was a graduate of Gramling High School, a longtime employee of Butte Knit Inc. and a member of Morgan Chapel Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Tommy Henderson (Debbie) of Landrum, Sheila Henderson Graham of Taylors; two grandchildren, Erin Henderson Millwood (Joey), Joshua Henderson (Hillary); three great grandchildren, Eliza Cait, Andrew and Molly Millwood; a sister, Shirley Edmonds (Paul); two brothers, Howard Bishop (Ruby Jean), Cleveland Bishop (Marlene) and a step sister-in-law, Collette Morgan. In addition, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Doug Graham; three brothers, Bill, Durant, Frank Bishop; two sisters, Elizabeth Bishop Green, Jane Bishop Towery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at Petty Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home in Landrum.
