Classic cars cruise into tryon

Tryon car lovers honored a little piece of history Friday, Sept. 22 when eight classic cars showed up at the railroad tracks downtown. The Tryon Classic Car Club’s first Fall Cruise-In was open to all classic cars 25 years and older. Traffic slowed down on McCown St. as drivers took a look at beautifully restored Corvettes, truck, and Thunderbirds. The wives enjoyed a cool drink while the “gear heads” (formerly known as car guys) talked camshafts and original parts.
