TFAC explores new genres with Something Different series

Two affordable dance programs in 2017-2018

TFAC strives to bring a wide variety of genres and artists to the community. Thanks to support from the Kirby Innovative Events Grant from Polk County Community Foundation, TFAC offers the brand new Something Different series beginning with the 2017-2018 series. Something Different will present unique, affordable performances and will encourage new patrons to experience the arts. With a rotating lineup of dance, drama, comedy. and more, audiences are truly in for Something Different.

The inaugural Something Different series will present two dance programs, from opposite ends of the spectrum.

Soul Street Dance, one of the premier breakdance troupes in the country, performs on Saturday, October 7 at 7 p.m. Their technical and artistic skills, stage presence and wit allow them to push the performance envelope to an amazing standard of excellence.

On Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 7 p.m, Spartanburg Ballet presents Decada, an intricately choreographed tribute to their decade of performing as a small ensemble.
