Faith Case Ross, 74, of Columbus, N.C. won her battle with cancer and went home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2017.

She was the daughter of the late Virgil and Helen Parton Case. She was a member of Columbus Baptist Church but attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Columbus, N.C. Faith married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Ross, who died December 2, 2009.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, William Mark Ross on August 15, 2012 and siblings: Marion, Charles, Roy, Ruth, Myrtle, Kathryn, and Joyce.

Surviving are a daughter, Audrea Ross McKaig (Rodney); a son, Christopher Scott Ross (Renea); and grandchildren, Sean McKaig (Noelle), Tiffany McKaig Cole (Billy), Jarrett and Jeremy McKaig, Cameron, Danielle, Jayden, Kennedie, Brayden, and Carter Ross. Also surviving are four great grandchildren, Hudson and Cooper McKaig, Adrianna and Keaton Cole; and a sister, Doris Case Stott.

Faith retired from White Oak of Tryon in 2012. She enjoyed being outdoors, working in her yard, and going camping with her family especially to Ocean Lakes Campground which was her and Jerry’s favorite place to visit. Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff and nurses at Smith Phayer Hospice House for your love, care, and compassion shown to Mom and our family during this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 in McFarland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian Wilson and Rev. Sean McKaig officiating.

Interment of Jerry and Faith will be at Ridings Cemetery immediately following the service.

A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 22, from 6 – 8 p.m. at McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC.

At other times, the family will be at the home of the daughter, Audrea McKaig, 26 Catherine Drive, (Holly Hill), Columbus, NC.
