Friendship Council to meet to plan yearly activities

Published 5:43 pm Friday, September 8, 2017

The Friendship Council will return to its regular meeting schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m. at Roseland Center.

On the agenda will be nominations for officers and planning the schedule of activities for the coming year.

The Friendship Council is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization dedicated to developing more harmonious relationships among the diverse people of the Polk County and Landrum areas.  We achieve this through a number of events through the year, with special focus on the Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in January and the free Community Friendship Picnic in June. We also meet for lunch at a local restaurant one Saturday a month.
