Broome sweeps by Landrum Thursday

Landrum High School athletic director Mike Gentry made the right call to move the scheduled Friday, September 1 game against visiting Broome to Thursday, August 31, due to predicted rainy weather on Friday. In the contest against the Centurions, head coach Jason Farmer’s Cardinals played especially hard, allowing no Broome scoring in the second half. In addition, the game was rain free. Unfortunately, with eight starters out, the Cardinals had to play short-handed, with Broome taking a 35-0 decision. Overall, both teams played excellent defense.
