Pea Ridge Baptist hosts annual bow shoot for missions
Pea Ridge Baptist Church in Mill Spring will host its fourth annual bow shoot for missions on Saturday, August 26.
All proceeds will go to a general missions fund for future mission purposes. Pea Ridge Baptist has taken two mission trips to Nome, Alaska, serving during the Iditarod race through various opportunities with the goal to show the love of Jesus Christ to the people of Alaska. Also, the church has taken three different teams to Jacmel, Haiti to serve the House of Abraham orphanage.
Bow shoot registration will begin at 8 a.m. and the shooting will last from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Prizes will be offered for first, second and third place. Coffee will be available in the morning for participants for a small donation. For lunchtime hot dogs, chips, drinks, and ice cream will be served for reasonable prices as well.
Pea Ridge will have two bounce houses on site, free of charge. There is also a playground children can play on (as long as they are supervised) while they wait for the participants to finish the shoot.
