Polk County’s football program will shift into the next phase of its preseason program early Saturday morning and invites all local fans to come view its progress.

The Wolverines will mark the start of full-contact drills with their annual Midnight Madness practice, set for Saturday at midnight in G.M. Tennant Stadium.

North Carolina High School Athletic Association rules mandate that teams must practice for five days before being allowed to have full contact on the sixth day. Saturday will be that sixth day, and Polk County will hit W.J. Miller Field as soon as the clock hits midnight to begin contact drills.
