POLK COUNTY DISTRICT COURT RESULTS

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 85 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Kori Ellen Byrd was convicted of failure to comply with monies. Byrd was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit.

Aaron Michael Campbell was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Campbell was fined $40 and court costs.

Macy Brooke Clark was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Clark was sentenced to one day in jail, 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.

Michelle Bryan Horton was convicted of resisting public officer. Horton was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit.

William Knight was convicted of flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle and possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Knight was sentenced to 45 days in jail.

Robin Elaine Leopard was convicted of probation violation. Leopard’s probation was terminated unsuccessfully.

Jeffrey Dean Scanlon was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Scanlon was sentenced to one day in jail with credit, 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Isaiah Joseph Whitley was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Whitley was fined $50 and court costs.

POLK COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT RESULTS

In Polk County Superior Court on Monday, May 8, with Judge Alan Z. Thornburg presiding, five trials and 13 cases were heard. Some cases were continued or dismissed.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

George Keith Littlejohn was convicted of obtaining property under false pretenses. Littlejohn was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, one day in jail and court costs.
