Floyd Loflin

Floyd Loflin, 91, of Spartanburg, S.C., died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born July 25, 1925 in Salisbury, N.C., he was the son of the late William Carl and Annie Bell Eagle Loflin.
Mr. Loflin was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II South Pacific and was wounded in the Battle of Saipan. He was retired from Southern Railroad and was a member of United Baptist Church, formerly Hayne Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 72 years, Ruth Mink Loflin; daughters, June Burch (Tommy) of Pauline and Annette Hines (Gary) of Lyman; son, Ronnie Loflin (Nela) of Tryon, N.C.; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a brother, William M. Loflin of Boiling Springs. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Lancaster.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted by the family at a later date.
