As part of National Volunteer Week, Polk Trails will be holding a clean-up of trash and rubbish around Vaughn Creek Greenway from 9 a.m. until noon Thursday, April 27.

Volunteers are asked to meet at Vaughn Creek bridge (near greenway entrance) on New Market Road in Tryon at 9 a.m. Trash bags will be provided as well as a limited number of gloves and grabbers.

Volunteers are asked to wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty and bring some water and a snack.
