Geoff Achison to perform in Tryon

TFAC presents Australian-based blues artist in downtown Tryon

Geoff Achison kicks off the Sunset Series in Tryon Fine Arts Center’s (TFAC) Peterson Amphitheater on Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m.

Geoff Achison is an award winning blues-roots artist from Australia who uses blues and soul inspirations to create an engaging and unique sound. His music is firmly influenced by the blues, but Geoff also introduces funk, soul, jazz and classical styles into the mix. Geoff is also an expert improviser and has been invited on stage with The Allman Brothers, Hot Tuna, Randall Bramblett, and many others. He was won awards for his guitar playing, songwriting, and live performances and was honored in 2011 as the official Patron of the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society.

Geoff Achison will perform in the Peterson Amphitheater as the sun sets over the Blue Ridge Mountains behind TFAC. The Sunset Series is sponsored by the Plume Foundation and Lichty Guitars.
