Parky Flanagan

Vilma “Parky” Craycraft Flanagan passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Spartanburg Restorative Care in Spartanburg, S.C.

Parky was born in Ohio to the late John and Ora Mae Bennett Parkansky. She retired from AACOA formerly known as the Mastic Corporation in South Bend, Ind. and later retired from Ancilla College in Donaldson, Ind. She volunteered for many local organizations including Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry and Foothills Humane Society. She was an avid golfer and was a member of Tryon Country Club. Parky was a member of Jackson Grove United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Parky was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Craycraft and John Flanagan, a brother John Park, and two sons David Craycraft and Roger Craycraft.

Surviving are a daughter Marcia Craycraft LaBelle of South Bend, Ind., grandchildren Heather Mitchell (Michael) of Michigan, Laurie Scott (Josh) of Arizona, Tami Rachels (Phil) of Michigan, Brian LaBelle (Jennifer) of Indiana, and grandchildren of John Flanagan, Haley, John, Molly, and Tim Flanagan of Illinois.

Also surviving her are John’s children, Mary Kay Flanagan of Wisconsin, Julie Flanagan of Indiana, and Kevin Flanagan (Lisa) of Illinois, and great- grandchildren Mason and Hannah Mitchell of Edwardsburg, Mich., Bradley, Christopher, and Jason LaBelle of Elkhart, Ind., Layden and Vaughn Scott of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Carson, Tanner, and Dawson Rachels of Niles, Mich.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
