Manning Lee Williams

Manning Lee Williams, 79, of Campobello, S.C. passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2017 following a brief illness. He was the husband of Eleanor Jean Campbell Williams.

He was a life-long farmer and operated a dairy in Campobello for more than 30 years. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Landrum throughout his life. Following his retirement he grew enough vegetables for the whole community and will be missed by his family and many friends, particularly his constant companion, Lucky.

In addition to his wife he was survived by a daughter, Tammy Lee Williams Moorer (Robert) of Bowman, S.C.; a son, Nathan Williams (Kim); a granddaughter, Caroline “Callie” Campbell Moorer, and a grandson, Dylan Twichell. Brothers include Hugh “Buddy” Williams (Juanita) and Mike Williams (Susan).

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Petty Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. James T. Brewton and Rev. Church Mullinax. Burial will follow at Redeemed International Baptist Church Cemetery in Landrum.
