“The Drowsy Chaperone,” Tryon Little Theater’s upcoming musical production, plays at the Tryon Fine Arts Center in Tryon, Feb. 16 -19. The show is a parody of the American musical comedy of the 1920s. The plot incorporates mistaken identities, dream sequences, spit takes, an unflappable English butler, an absent-minded dowager, comic gangsters, a ditzy chorus girl, a harried best man, and an aviatrix. Mix in two lovers on the eve of their wedding, a bumbling best man, a desperate theatre producer, a misguided Don Juan and an intoxicated chaperone, and you have the ingredients for an evening of uproarious entertainment. Dan Harvey is directing, with Pam McNeil as musical director, and choreography by Missy Fincher.  Tickets are available for purchase online at www.tltinfo.org or call 828-859-2466.
