Janice Trivett Edney, 67, of Tryon, N.C. passed away, Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at Mission Hospital, Asheville, N.C.

Born in New Orleans, La., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Ada Bain Trivett. Mrs. Edney retired from St. Luke’s Hospital in 1997 after 24 years of service. In addition to her family, she loved photography, enjoyed traveling, cross stitching and was the youngest of eight children. She was member of the Tryon Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Surviving is her husband, Douglas Edney; two children, Rob Edney (Sarah) of Simpsonville, S.C. and Kelley Edney of Tryon, N.C.; two sisters, Dena Marlow of Tennessee and Beth Dockham of Wyoming; two grandchildren, Tyler and Tannor.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 18, 2017 in the Tryon Seventh-day Adventist Church, Tryon, N.C.
