Pea Ridge Baptist Church Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) ladies are busy working on their 19th annual auction scheduled for Friday, Feb. 24. These events have been the source of funding for missions on the local, state, national and foreign levels. Over the years, the group has helped fund projects such as mission trips by church members to Nepal, Alaska, Haiti and St. Kitts.
Hot dogs and dessert begin at 5:30 p.m. with the auction following at 6:30 p.m. Homemade desserts and goodies will also be sold. Drawings will be held for door prizes. Barry Ruppe (N.C. AL 8332) will be the auctioneer.
If you would like to donate for this event, such as household, kitchen, small furniture and holiday items, call Linda Covil at 828-863-4142 as soon as possible. Should you need something picked up, arrangements can be made. No clothing please. WMU especially would like to receive collectibles, antiques and “man things” such as tools, hand-crafted items and small machines. Contribution slips can be provided for tax purposes if needed.
The church is located on Hwy. 108 in Pea Ridge, 3.5 miles east of the Mill Spring intersection.
