A crew from DOT spent the morning Thursday removing what has become a controversial circle on the pavement at the intersection of Trade, Oak and Pacolet streets in downtown Tryon, which was installed Dec. 21, 2016. “Due to communication issues between various agencies,” said Tryon Town Manager Zach Ollis, “the town opted to remove the circle for the time being. With regards to replacing it, the town will take the opportunity to go over options with relation to the intersection.” Ollis says town council will discuss it at their next meeting.
