At year’s end

Once again we broke records on the amount of money raised and spent on my kids. I cannot thank you enough for your support! Please don’t stop; the level of your support is what keeps me going, unless, of course, the Good Lord has other ideas. Fear not, dear readers, as much as I’d love to be with Him, I’m doing all I can to stay healthy. I feel blessed in many ways, so at age 75, I can’t see why I shouldn’t be able to endure a few minor setbacks.
My sweet Ninja, the little Chihuahua who was severely mauled, finally went home after some setbacks of her own. I’ve received some wonderful pictures of how well she’s doing with her new family.
Old man Norman, the community cat, is doing fine − a bit wobbly, but much loved. Dana Mayer and the team at 3Ps (Paws, Prayers and Promises) are working to find Norman a forever home. The “prayers” part of the 3Ps are more than welcome for Norman.
If you remember Hope, the stray that had been found, having lost most of her hair and severely thin, I’ve got good news. Photos and messages have shown me she’s one beautiful lady now. Love and care can accomplish great things. Unfortunately, I don’t get to see my kids as often as I like. Hopefully (pun intended), I’ll get to visit Hope soon.
One last thing. I hate to end the year on a sour note. This is for those people who have called on my assistance more than once or twice. The people who support me trust that I will spend their money wisely and compassionately. My angels have made sacrifices so that my kids can have a better life. I expect all of you who are blessed enough to have pets as part of their family to make some sacrifices also. I am more than willing to help the helpless; I am tired of helping the clueless.
May you all have a joyous and healthy New Year. Thanks for listening.
